25-26 Aug: Squadron Leadership School (SLS)

This invitation is being shared with the Georgia Wing for those Members who need to complete the SLS Squadron Leadership School for Level II. 

What will be accomplished by completing this course: The Squadron Leadership School (SLS) provides CAP’s adult members with a basic understanding of CAP operations at the squadron level and how those operations affect CAP’s national missions. Additionally, members learn more about CAP customs, core values, and communications. Case studies, discussion, and group assignments are integral facets of the SLS. 

You must complete Level I, be assigned to a specialty track,  in E-Services prior to attending SLS.  A CAP Form 17 must be completed. A copy of the Form 17  needs to be approved by your Commander and then sent to capf17@gawg.cap.gov. You will be notified if you are approved. The class will be for up to 20 students. The final day to accept applications will be MONDAY 13 AUG 2018.  

The course will be from 0800 to 1700 on 25 Aug and 0800 to 1430 on 26 Aug, with graduation and certificates handed out upon successful completion of the course. You must attend both days in order to receive the completion certificate.

This course will also need Seminar Instructors.  Instructing at a SLS satisfies a LV4 activity.  CONTACT COURSE DIRECTOR DIRECTLY TO SCHEDULE A SEMINAR.

Dress for the day will be any authorized Civil Air Patrol/Air Force uniform; no BDUs/ABUs or flight suits should be worn. 

The course will held at the LEACH STATION (881), 110 PASCHALL RD, PEACHTREE CITY GA/30269. Park in front of Practice Fire Bldg.

If staying overnight and desire a hotel room, simply use your search engine of choice as there are many hotels located within 5 miles of the facility. . 

A pizza snack will be provided for the Saturday session.
