September 11, 2021

On Sunday, 5 September 2021, Cadet Lt Colonel Gabrielle Brown successfully completed a solo glider flight in Tullahoma, TN. Despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, Cadet Lt. Col. Brown has continued setting goals and reaching sky-high to achieve them. She shared, "As cadets, we work hard so we can have an opportunity to work harder. Flying isn't a walk in the park. Really care about flying and have a passion for it, then put in the work and dedication needed to get you there."

Previously, she attended two glider academies in Tullahoma and was so supportive of other Civil Air Patrol cadets, she did not complete as many flights as she could have.

Her advice to others is to have a passion and then invest the work and dedication to get there. Cadet Lt. Col. Brown is a great asset to Civil Air Patrol's Gwinnett County Composite Squadron and an amazing young woman.
