CAP SAFETY PLEDGE
As a Civil Air Patrol member I pledge to promote an uncompromising safety environment for my self and others, and to prevent the loss of, or damage to Civil Air Patrol assets entrusted to me. I will perform all my activities in a professional manner, and will hold myself accountable for my actions in all of our Missions for America.

TWELVE GENERAL ORDERS
- To take charge of this post and all designated property in view.
- To walk this post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert, and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
- To report all violations I am instructed to enforce.
- To report all calls from other posts.
- To quit my post only when properly relieved.
- To receive, obey, and pass onto the sentinel who relieves me, all orders from the commander, officer of the day, officers, and non-commissioned officers of the guard.
- To talk to no one except in the line of duty.
- To give alarm in case of fire or disorder.
- To call the sergeant of the guard in any case not covered by instructions.
- To salute all officers, colors, and standards not encased.
- To be especially watchful at night and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post.
- To use no force, or show of force, during the execution of my duties.
