Welcome from The Squadron Commander

Thank you for your interest in the Civil Air Patrol and the Albany Composite Squadron at the Southwestern Georgia Regional Airport.

As the official Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, the Civil Air Patrol is an all volunteer organization made-up of cadet and senior members like you seeking opportunities to give-back to their country and community.

For over 60 years, the Civil Air Patrol has contributed to homeland security, saved lives and property through Emergency Services, promoted Aerospace Education and supported the development of our youth with our Cadet Programs.

CAP performs 95% of our nation’s inland search and rescue missions and saves approximately 100 lives per year. We operate the largest fleet of single-engine, piston aircraft in the world and our over 62,000 members fly more than 120,000 hours every year.

"The Civil Air Patrol is definitely a force-multiplier and adds tremendous value to our nation’s homeland security efforts.”

Tom Ridge, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security

I invite you to join us at a meeting. Albany Composite Squadron meets every Tuesday 6:30 PM at Southwestern Georgia Regional Airport, 3905 Newton Road Suite 300.

For more information contact me (229) 446-7218.  We would like to meet you.
